Saad F. Habba, MD is a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and has been practicing medicine and Gastroenterology for almost 30 years. He is an attending consultant physician at Overlook Hospital Summit NJ and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at  Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York.

Dr. Habba was Chief of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ and is presently in private practice in Summit NJ.

He has presented and published in 24 national and international medical journals and symposia.

He was awarded the Distinguished Achievement Award by UMDNJ. He received a special medical achievement citation from the president of the New Jersey Senate and has been acknowledged with multiple recognition awards by the New Jersey Medical Society. He served as an expert witness in Gastroenterology for the state of New Jersey.

He is an author of a chapter in Conn’s Current Therapy, a textbook of medicine. He holds a US patent (serial No. 4675284) on “Improved Process and Apparatus for Evaluating Liver Disease.” 

In 2007, he was listed in "Guide to America's Top Physicians" by the Consumers Research Council of America.

Dr. Habba has made national and international radio and television appearances including the latest appearance on the Discovery Channel and Discovery Health Channel.

Dr. Habba was the first to describe the Habba Syndrome which was published in the American College of Gastroenterology Journal Vol. 95, Issue 8, Page 2141, August 2000.
